Apparatus and method for generating ultrasonic image

PURPOSE: An ultrasonic image generation device and a method thereof are provided to selectively use an ultrasonic signal by request of a user, thereby improving device performance. CONSTITUTION: An ultrasonic image generation device (100) comprises an ultrasonic transducer and a pulse generation unit (110). The ultrasound transducer has a broadband frequency transfer characteristic and an ultra-wide band frequency transfer characteristic. The pulse generation unit (110) is provided within the frequency band of the ultrasonic transducer, and generates multiple ultrasonic pulses which have a different center frequency from each other.
