The method comprises: in accordance with a designated navigation direction, determining each exit road section corresponding to a designated entry road section of an intersection (301); according to a relative angle between the designated entry road section and each exit road section, determining the intersection type of the intersection and position information about a designated exit road section in each exit road section (302); according to the types of primary and auxiliary roads of the designated exit road section, the position information about the designated exit road section in each exit road section and the intersection type, searching for corresponding navigation prompt information about the primary and auxiliary roads from the pre-established corresponding relationship between the intersection type, the types of the primary and auxiliary roads, the position information and the navigation prompt information about the primary and auxiliary roads (303), and taking same as the navigation prompt information about the primary and auxiliary roads corresponding to the designated entry road section and the designated exit road section (304). By means of the method, the problem in the prior art that accurate navigation prompt information cannot be provided for a user can be solved.
