The electrocardiogram is an important tool for diagnosis in veterinary medicine. In some cases the use of the standard calibration of 1mV is not enough to show some minimal changes. Therefore, the aim of this research was to evaluate whether minimal changes in the ECG of dogs can be better observed by 1mV than the 2mV calibration. The results showed that the sensitivity amplification of the apparatus to 2mV can be an useful tool to detect electrocardiographic minimal changes.
