Aspekte bei der Wahl von Verfahren der zentralen Trinkwasserenthärtung: Teil 2: Fallbeispiele

Within the first article criteria were introduced and discussed, which are relevant for the selection of technologies for centralised drinking water softening. The paper considered pellet softening, classical lime precipitation, CARIX-Process (Carbon Dioxide Regenerated Ion-Exchange) and nanofiltration.The limits of applicability of the technologies with respect to raw water quality and administrative aspects were pointed out.The treatment goals were pointed out with emphasis on corrosion chemical properties of the drinking water after softening. In this paper, a selection of criteria is quantified for typical case studies.
