Anterior dislocation of the radial head secondary to malunion of the forearm bones

Degenerative arthritis and subluxation of the adjacent joints in association with malunion of the forearm have been described in a few previous reports.3,7 We report a case of anterior dislocation of the radial head associated with limitation of forearm rotation caused by malunited fracture of the forearm that was treated by corrective osteotomy of the ulna and radius. Our experience indicates that an eccentric load may be applied to the elbow joint in some cases of malunited fracture of the forearm.
