ANÁLISE TEMPORAL DE EXCESSO DE PESO, ATIVIDADE FÍSICA, MORTALIDADE E INTERNAÇÕES POR INSUFICIÊNCIA RENAL EM CAPITAIS DA REGIÃO SUDESTE: 2011-2015

2018
Renal insufficiency and its risk factors are frequent and responsible for the high morbidity and mortality rate of patients. The rate of overweight, sufficiently active individuals, mortality, and hospitalizations for renal insufficiency in adults from the capitals of the southeastern region of Brazil between 2011 and 2015 was analyzed. A systematized search was carried out in the databases: a) Datasus, with selections: content (number of hospitalizations and deaths), period (2011 to 2015), Morb List of ICD-10 (Renal insufficiency), age group (?20 years) and; b) Vigitel, with the search for: adults (?18 years) with overweight (BMI >25) and sufficiently active (?150 min of physical activity). The cities surveyed were Belo Horizonte, Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo, and Vitoria. Descriptive statistics procedures were performed (frequency and percentage). There was an average increase of 2.47% of admissions (12,048 to 12,345). The average number of deaths increased 3.02% (1425 to 1468). The only capital where the number of hospitalizations and deaths decreased was Sao Paulo, about -14.84% (6694 to 5701) and -10.37% (617 to 554), respectively. Overweight increased 5.25%, along with individuals sufficiently active in their free time (7.03%). However, there was an average increase in admissions and deaths due to IR in the Southeast region, as well as an increase in overweight individuals.
