Multilayered metallic effect pigments, to processes for their preparation and use

The invention relates to a metallic effect pigment, wherein the metallic effect pigment comprises at least three layers: A) a layer A, which has at least a metal M B) a layer B with a few tens of a metal M C) a layer C comprising at least one metal M wherein the average oxygen content O is determined and is in a range from 25 to 58 atomic%. The invention further relates to methods for producing this effect pigment and its use.
