High gain boost converter with quasi-resonant switched capacitor and coupled inductor

2012
This paper presents a new cascade boost converter topology composed of a zero-current switching switched-capacitor (ZCS SC) quasi-resonant (QR) converter and a coupled inductor conversion scheme. A front ZCS SC converter is proposed to improve the current stress problem during power flow control processing. It is able to provide a high voltage conversion ratio using a set of switched-capacitors with a small series connected resonant inductor for obtaining ZCS switching. The converter operating principle of the proposed conversion scheme is described in detail circuit model analysis. Simulations and experimental results are carried out to verify the performance of the proposed high voltage gain converter.
