The immunofluorescence observation on the adherence of stable L-form of Mycobacterium tuberculosis to ECa109 cells.

2009
The adherence of stable L-form of Mycobacterium tuberculosis (MTB) to ECa109 cells was observed in order to explore its mechanism on pathogenesis,in which the epithelial cells of esophagus cancer (ECa109) were infected with stable L-form of M.tuberculosis and its adherence to ECa109 cells was observed by fluorescence microscopy. Meanwhile, the adherence inhibition test was carried out by using the treatment with trypsin,HCl(0.1 mol/L),NaOH(0.1 mol/L,sodium peroxidate and PPD. It was found that stable form of MTB could adhere to ECa109 cells and induce cellular lesions, but this kind of adherence could be reduced or even disappeared after treatment with boiling, trypsin,HCl ,NaOH or peroxidate. However,no significant influence could be detected when the stable L-form was treated with PPD. From these observations,it is apparent that the adherence of L-form of MTB may be related to the exposure of the cellular membrane of L-forms and the specific binding to the surface glycoprotein receptors.
