Humidity sensor and motor system

Methods and systems are presented for an input coupled to a motor capacity-based humidity sensor. A deterioration of the humidity sensor can be determined on the basis of humidity measurements, whereas gases flowing into an engine intake air change downstream from the moisture sensor and upstream of the compressor by less than a first threshold value, while the pressure at the sensor by more than a second threshold value changes. The variation in pressure can be changed by a throttle upstream and downstream adjusted by the compressor on the basis of whether the humidity sensor is deteriorated or works.
