OPDisp - Open Architecture for Extensible Public Displays

Currently public displays have many functionalities, but still present several challenges with respect to content producing and user interaction. Most are non-interactive, only used for static information dissemination, while others rely on tactile displays adding interactivity, but limiting to single-user interactions. Displays that resort to mobile devices to promote engagement and enhance user experience usually require the installation of specific applications.
