A Recording Method of ATV data on a Consumer Digital VCR

Abstract This paper describes a recording method of ATV data on a consumer digital VCR. A consumer digital VCR records transmitted signals in an analog way or a digital way as well as baseband signals. In this paper, we focus on a transparent recording of the digital transmitted signal such as ATV and the arrangement method of ATV data with an example of MPEG2 bitstream is proposed to achieve a good picture quality in the shuttle mode.
