The Research of 2-Tier and 3-Tier Structure Based on the Client/Server Architecture

In this paper, some disadvantages and advantages are analyzed and compared in the traditional 2-tier structure and the current 3-tier one of Client/Server architecture. A combined structure is put forth with their advantages, applicable to the development of Intranet, furthermore, an instance is given to explain the policies and methods applying to the combined structure in constructing Intranet or MIS.
