Half-lives of the first excited 6+ and 7− states in 126Te and 128Te
1975
Abstract The lifetimes of the lowest excited 6 + and 7 − states in 126 Te and 128 Te were measured by the delayed coincidence technique with the following results: 126 Te : T 1 2 (6 + ) = 69±2 psec and T 1 2 (7 − ) = 0.15±0.02 nsec ; 128 Te : T 1 2 (6 + ) = 0.48±0.03 nsec and T 1 2 (7 − ) = 2.404±0.024 nsec . The reduced transition probabilities for the (6 + →4 + ), (7 − →6 + ) and (7 − →5 − ) transitions are derived and compared with theoretical estimates.
