Numerical Study on the Flow Field Generated by a Double-Orifice Synthetic Jet Device

The application of synthetic jet actuators to control aerodynamic flows has been widely investigated in the last years. In many situations, arrays of synthetic jet actuators or multiple-orifice (or multi-slot) devices are preferred to single-orifice/single-slot actuators, especially in separation control and cooling applications. However, the behaviour of the flow field generated by such actuators is still the object of ongoing research, both in quiescent conditions and in presence of a crossflow.
