Оценка йодной недостаточности и патологии щитовидной железы у школьников Тисульского района Кемеровской области

Th e aim of the work was to study the prevalence of thyroid increasing among children living in the iodine defi cit countryside district. Children of both sexes aged 7 to 17 were examined. 16,1 % examined children had the increasing of thyroid volume. More than half of schoolchildren (58,0 %) had light or moderate iodine defi cit in their constitutions, the iodine median was 87 mcg/l. All children had normal thyroid function. Th e authors express the opinion about the polyetiological nature of goiter and the necessity of its prophylactic measures.
