A Unique Perspective on Viral Propagation--Social Attributes

Abstract The emergence of the social Internet of things (SIoT) paradigm opens a new path for the development of the next generation of the Internet of things, but it also brings new security risks. The social attributes contained in SIoT exacerbate the harm of the virus to the network, so it is essential to analyze the characteristics of the virus and the core factors that influence the spread of the virus. This paper put forward a virus propagation model (susceptible-propagation ability-exposed-infected-recovered, SPEIR) which mainly considers the differences in intelligent devices’ propagation ability. Then, this paper proposes a novel method(i.e., DKP), which combines K-shell theory that we add the delete order and the idea of PageRank that determines the importance of web pages to calculate intelligent devices’ propagation ability. And the experiments have proved the accuracy of DKP is high.
