2018
The relevance of this study lies in the conviction that the efforts to support rural development, specially the millions of people living in conditions of extreme poverty in Mexico, should be guided towards clean accessible and sustainable energy as a factor that can promote the economic development and poverty reduction. This is a research with a gender perspective, oriented towards rural development based on design; its objective is to implement sustainable technologies to obtain power. The methodology includes ethnographic and fieldwork, photographic records and in-depth interviews in three extreme poverty communities of the State of Mexico. The research presents an analysis of the most viable options for obtaining sustainable energy, resulting in the use of bricks in the construction of stoves and more efficient designs.
