Effect of LHRH-A3 and EGF on In Vitro Maturation of Porcine Oocytes and Development of Parthenogenetic Embryoes

2010
The effect of supplemented Luteinizing hormone releasing hormone A3(LHRH-A3) and Epidermal growth factor(EGF) in maturation medium on in vitro maturation of porcine oocytes and the development of parthenogenesis was studied to establish the best conditions for in vitro maturation of the pig oocytes. The results showed that during the maturation of the pig oocyte in vitro,Pregnant mare serum gonadotropin(PMSG) and Human chorionic gonadotrophin(hCG) could be replaced by LHRH-A3.During the development of parthenogenesis, the effect of LHRH-A3 was significantly better than that of the combination of PMSG and hCG.The combinated treatment of 1.5 μg/mL LHRH-A3 and 40 ng/mL EGF was better for porcine oocyte culture in vitro and parthenogenetic development. The combinated treatment of 1.5 μg/mL LHRH-A3 and 40ng/mL EGF was better for porcine oocyte culture in vito and parthenogeretic development.
