Ecology and Management of the Boll Weevil in South American Cotton

1996
We discuss the ecology of the boll weevil, Anthonomus grandis grandis Boheman, in South America, including its host plants, life history, and survival between cotton seasons. We show methods that can be used to manage this insect, including cultivar manipulation, cultural practices, use of climate, and biological control by parasitoids, predators, and pathogens.
