Measuring electrical properties of carbon nanotubes using liquid metal immersion, an in situ scanning electron microscopy study

2008
The electrical properties of nano-materials are of great interest for both science and industry. In particular carbon nanotubes [1] are one of the most studied materials. It is known that the electrical properties of single-walled carbon nanotubes are determined by their chirality [2] and can be either metallic or semiconducting. Experiments have shown the electron transport to be ballistic at room temperature [3].
