Dança com uso de exergame na fadiga de pacientes oncológicas: um estudo piloto

2020
Breast cancer is one of the most diagnosed diseases in Brazil, and it is very common for diagnosed patients to undergo the process of mastectomy and chemotherapy and / or radiotherapy, which generates physical and emotional sequelae. Therefore, this study aimed to investigate the potential use of exergame in the dance modality, twice a week for four weeks, in the fatigue responses according to the FACT-B and PIPER questionnaires. The results showed a significant improvement only in the Social / Family dimension of the FACT-B questionnaire, without any change in the others in the same questionnaire or in the dimensions provided by PIPER, which can be explained by the fact that this study did not reach the recommended exercise metrics. weekly physical exercise for cancer patients. Despite this, there was a positive effect, which contributes to improving the patients' quality of life. It is concluded that this modality of physical exercise is promising and needs to be better explored to verify the potential positive effects of its use.
