Material management hydrophobic drugs, method for the manufacture thereof and methods for administering a drug delivery composition

A method of making a drug delivery composition, comprising: - providing at least one pharmaceutically active composition dissolved in an aqueous solution; - providing a hydrophobic matrix comprising at least a solid hydrophobic component and a hydrophobic liquid component; and - mixing the hydrophobic matrix comprising at least solid hydrophobic component and the liquid hydrophobic component, and the pharmaceutically active composition dissolved in the aqueous solution to form a composition of drug delivery paste-like or semisolid, wherein the hydrophobic matrix maintained in a state not molten along the mixing, - wherein mixing comprises repeated cycles of compression and folding of the mixture of the hydrophobic matrix and the pharmaceutically active composition to form a drug delivery composition of paste-like or semisolid.
