Synthesis of Pyrazine Derivatives as Potential Hypoglycemic Agents

A series of new pyrazine derivatives was synthesized and screened for hypoglycemic activity. Some of these compounds showed weak activity at high dosage levels. Pyrazinoyl-4-ethyl-thiosemicarbazide was active both in mice and rats.
