Heated LCD display

2001
It is shown a heatable LCD-display in which a heating by an extended surface resistor (8) below the active zone (9) is realized of the display. For heating this layer (8) is applied to an electric voltage, which must, however, be controlled so that the liquid crystal display is not destroyed due to overheating. For this purpose, a temperature sensor (12) above the surface resistor (8) is placed, but in addition to the active region (9) of the liquid crystal display. The active region (9) and the temperature sensor (12) are thus supplied in the same manner with heat energy, so that the temperature, which is determined by the temperature sensor (12) of the active region (9) corresponding to the liquid crystal layer.
