PURPOSE: A specific date informing method of a telephone set is provided to continuously inform a user of a specific data and improve a recognition effect by outputting a destination bell sound signifying the specific date and displaying an image signifying the specific date by using a standby screen whenever a termination is continuously made for all day at the specific date desired by the user. CONSTITUTION: When a power is ON(300), an MPU(Micro-Processor Unit) checks whether the current date is a previously registered specific date(302). If the current date is not a specific date, the MPU sets a pre-set standby screen image as an image for a standby screen and sets a pre-set bell sound as a termination bell sound. Accordingly, at ordinary times, the general standby screen is displayed through a display unit in a standby mode and a general bell sound is output when there is a termination. If the current date is a specific date, the standby screen image is changed to a previously registered image corresponding to the specific date and the termination bell sound is changed to registered bell sound corresponding to the specific date(304). Accordingly, the termination bell sound signifying the specific date is output for user's recognition and the image signifying the specific date is displayed by using the standby screen whenever termination is continuously made during the specific date all day desired by the user(306).
