원자력발전소 적용 면진시스템 기술개발의 국내외 추진 현황

Earthquake is one of the most important parameters which govern the design of nuclear power plant (NPP) among external events. Advanced counties with the ability to design NPPs have a big interest in applying base isolation systems to NPPs, since the safety of NPP has been arisen by 2011 Tohoku earthquake and radiation leakage of Fukushima NPPs. The isolation system is preferable for NPPs in the economical aspect due to minimal design modification and the safety aspect of structures, systems, and components in range of strong earthquakes. In this paper, the technical information and international current trends of base-isolated NPPs are introduced and presented status of the domestic field in base isolation industry related to NPPs.
