AN ANALYSIS OF THE ADVERSE EVENTS AND RELATED FACTORS IN HEROIN ADDICTS DURING DETOXIFICATION

Objective: To explore the adverse events and related factors in heroin addicts during detoxification . Methods: 630 inpatients with heroin dependence were investigated retrospectively and factors related to adverse events were analyzed by Logistic regression analysis. Results: The incidence of adverse events was 17.6%. By Logistic regression analysis, risk factors in whole inpatients group with adverse events were uncertain. When patients with adverse events were classified as four subgroups according to severity, the risk factors were as follows: inghest dosage of methadone, abnormal blood routine test, varieties of antipsychotics and routes of drug abuse lately. Conclusion: The occurrence of adverse events is very common, wincins due to the treatment methods and the characteristics of the addicts. Much attention should be devoted to the prevention and treatment of adverse events.
