Radiation sensors and method of manufacturing and packaging of such detectors

The invention concerns a method for making and packaging radiation detector arrays, from a semiconductor wafer (10). The method consists in: a) cutting out the wafer (10) to define detector arrays (40) each having at least a lateral edge (42); b) polishing the lateral edges (42) of the detector arrays. The invention is useful for making medical imaging equipment.
