Study on Porous Thermal Insulation Ceramics Prepared by Low-grade Potash Feldspar Materials

2020
Porous thermal insulation ceramics were prepared by a high-temperature foaming methodology from low-grade potash feldspar materials, and silicon carbide was used as the foaming agent. The crystal phase composition and morphology of ceramics were characterized by X-ray powder diffraction(XRD) and ultra depth of field techniques, respectively. The effect of sintering temperature and soaking time on the porous structure, thermal conductivity, compressive strength, bulk density and water absorption of porous thermal insulation ceramics were studied. The results indicate that the best performance of porous ceramics is obtained after sintered at 1 250 ℃ for 30 min, and the thermal conductivity, compressive strength, absorption rate and bulk density of the porous ceramic sample are 0.072 W/(m·K), 3.429 MPa, 13.5% and 0.542 g/cm~3, respectively.
