EBV-SPECIFIC TRANSFER FACTOR IN THE TREATMENT OF AFRICAN BURKITT'S LYMPHOMA: A PILOT STUDY

SUMMARY Eleven African patients with BUrkitt's lymphOMa entered a stu~ to evaluate the effica~ of a transfer factor with specific activity against Epstein-Barr virus. The disease-free interval in the group of treated patients was significantly longer than in the control group. The absence of toxicity and the potential efficacy of the transfer factor indicates the need for .are extensive clinical trials in African BUrkitt's lymphOMa.
