The invention provides a method of reconfiguring a data processing unit of a terminal (1), said terminal being arranged to receive information from a communication or broadcasting system (2,3), the method comprising the following steps: - start a reconfiguration phase of the information processing unit; and- transmitting, from the terminal to the communication system or broadcast, information indicating the start of the reconfiguration phase of the information processing unit.
