The relationship between geographical and social mobility among the Hispanic population is examined using data for Los Angeles and Orange County California from the Public Use Microdata Files of the 1980 U.S. census. "The research shows that there has been significant growth in suburban Hispanic populations and these populations in general are shown to be better educated and have higher incomes. There is also evidence that the Hispanic population in suburban areas is less segregated than the Hispanic population in central cities." (EXCERPT)
