A UWB antenna design based on fractal configuration

2009
This paper puts forward an improved method for an ultra-wideband planar monopole antenna. By etching in the circular patch with the fractal geometry of the Sierpinski triangle, the antenna could meet the requirements of the UWB (ultra wideband) frequency between 2.8~15.1 GHz, and achieved a frequency of the gap function between 4.5~5.9 GHz.This greatly increased the anti-interference performance of the antenna. The simulation showed the antenna's far-field radiation patterns. The standing wave ratio VSWR requirements are met, and the unique fractal characteristics reduced the size of the ultra wideband antenna. This paper provides a theoretical basis and data support for the research of the relationship between geometric parameters and electrical parameters of fractal antennae.
