Gripper rod for shuttleless loom and its production

PURPOSE: To improve strength, wear resistance and tear resistance by arranging prepreg layers so that the fiber orientation of each layer may mutually cross when stacking the prepreg layers constituting a gripper rod, and maintaining the acute crossing angle even after the processing. CONSTITUTION: A prepreg 7 having a fiber orientation 6 is stacked on a prepreg 4 having fiber orientation 5. Angles 8 and 9 before the stacking, and the angle A after the stacking are arranged so as to be 0-90 deg., preferably 15-25 deg. to improve the strength and resistance to wear and tear.
