Effects of Xuezhikang on Blood Fat and C-reactive Protein of Rats with Atherosclerosis

Objective:To investigate effects of Xuezhikang capsule on the content of blood fat and C-reactive protein of rats with atherosclerosis.Methods:A total of healthy twenty-four Wistar rats were randomly divided into Sham(n=8) group and Atherosclerosis(AS,n=8) group and Xuezhikang treated group(XZK group,n=8).After 4 weeks,we measured hemorheological parameters,the level of serum TC,TG,LDL-C,CRP.Results:The value of whole blood shear viscosity and the level of serum TC,TG,LDL-C,CRP in AS and XZK group were significantly highter than those in Sham groups(P0.05).Compared with rats in AS group,the value of whole blood shear viscosity,the content of serum TC,TG,LDL-C,CRP were significantly lower in XZK treated group(P0.05).Conclusion:Xuezhikang capsule can downregulate the level of serum TC,TG,LDL-C,CRP,Downregulating the level of CRP is one of these mechanisms.
