Investigation of Disturbing Factors Affecting Enterprise Power-Supply Systems in Operation

2021
This paper contains a theoretical probabilistic study of two main factors affecting enterprise power-supply systems. The factors are variations in consumer load and noises from the external power-supply network. The change in the supply-mains voltage is considered as a random process. Analytical tools for describing voltage changes are provided. The theory of surges is used for deriving formulas for the average number of surges, and the average time the voltage is outside preset tolerances. An example of calculating these indicators is provided. The flaws in using the deterministic approach to estimate the aggregate power consumption of an enterprise are specified. The characteristic operating modes of a farming enterprise are evaluated. An algorithm for calculating the aggregate power consumption when using the probabilistic approach to estimating the capacity of individual consumers is provided.
