Chondroblastoma of the scapula : a case report

2010
A rare case of chondroblastoma of the left scapula in a 25-year-old man is reported. He had been aware of a growing, solid mass of the left back for the previous six months. On examination, a 5 X 5-cm, hard mass was felt moving together with the left scapula. Pathological findings of a biopsy specimen were comparable to those of chondroblastoma. He underwent en bloc resection of the tumor along with a distal portion of the scapular blade. No local recurrence or lung metastasis has been observed for 24 months postoperatively.
