Influence of warping on quantum oscillations in p-type GaAs-(GaAl)As heterostructures

Abstract Calculations of Landau levels in p-GaAs-(GaAl)As heterostructures in magnetic fields with components parallel and perpendicular to the interface are compared with results from Shubnikov-de Haas measurements in tilted magnetic fields. It turns out, that experimental data can be described very accurately by the theory, but only if the anisotropy of the energy in the 2D plane (warping) is taken into account.
