Iminodi(methylphosphonic) acid

Iminodi(methylphosphonic) acid HN(CH2PO3H2)2 was studied by X-ray powder diffraction andthermal analysis. It was shown that the polycrystalline sample is single-phase. In an inert atmosphere, thecompound is stable up to 190°C, decomposes at higher temperatures (DTAmin 230, 245°C) withevolution of gaseous pyrolysis products.
