Modeling Method of Electrolytic Aluminum Load Characteristics Based on Controllable Reactor Boundary Constraints

This article mainly introduces active power-voltage load characteristics of electrolytic aluminum load when current stabilization device works in large closed loop feedback. The current stabilization device of the electrolytic aluminum load mainly maintains the total load current of the DC side constant by adjusting the saturated reactor. If the grid voltage fluctuates within the adjustable range of the saturated reactor, the electrolytic aluminum load appears as a constant power load. While it is larger than adjustable range of the saturable reactor, the electrolytic aluminum performs the characteristics as a voltage-sensitive load, and its active power will be determined by the grid voltage. Finally, the difference between the type of constant power load characteristics and the large closed-loop feedback load characteristics of electrolytic aluminum is studied through a simulation example.
