Calcified-Tissue Investigations Using Synchrotron X-Ray Microscopy

Synchrotron x-ray microscopy has been used to examine elemental distributions in specimens of rat tibia, human deciduous teeth, and an orthopedic implant phantom. The results illustrate the usefulness of SXRM for measurements of different types of calcified tissue.
