THE NEAR UV EMISSION SPECTRUM OF C2H

Abstract Eleven emission bands have been rotationally analyzed in the 3000-2500 A spectral region and attributed as being due to transitions from the Ũ electronic state to vibronic levels of the X 2 Σ + ground state of C 2 H. Two new vibronic levels of the Ũ state have been identified and a new vibronic level at 740 cm −1 has been tentatively attributed to the 2ν″ 2 level of the ground state.
