Method used for extracting caffeine from tea

2014
The invention belongs to the field of fine chemical engineering, and more specifically relates to a method used for extracting caffeine from tea. In the method, petroleum ether extraction is used for removing chlorophyll and lipid soluble ingredients in tea; chloroform extraction is used for obtaining a caffeine crude product; and at last a caffeine pure product is obtained based on that solubility of caffeine in methyl alcohol is low, and solubility of caffeine in chloroform is high, and crystallization is easily caused. Operation of the method is simple; cost is low; production period is short; product purity is high; it is convenient for large-scale preparation of caffeine; problems in the prior art are solved; and the method possesses significant importance on caffeine production.
