The vibrational spectrum of 1,1-dicyanocyclopropane

Abstract The infrared spectrum of both vapor and liquid phase samples and the Raman spectrum of a liquid sample of 1,1-dicyano cyclo propane have been obtained. From the infrared vapor phase band contours, the Raman spectrum and polarization data, and group frequency assignments for similar molecules, assignments for all of the fundamental vibrations are proposed except for two which belong in the a 2 species.
