A novel synthesis of 3‐bromo‐1,2,4‐oxadiazoles

A novel synthesis of 3-bromo-1,2,4-oxadiazoles by 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition between bromocyanogen oxide and alkyl and aryl nitriles is described.
