Vitamin B 11 plays an important role in providing of pregnant women and the prevention of embryonic malformations. Sufficient supply with folic acid is recommended. Though neural tube defects and cleft lips/cleft palates haven common causes, there is no associated occurence of both of them. The reasons of that are still unknown.
