The invention relates to the technical field of ophthalmology detection equipment, in particular to a staring device and a handheld ophthalmoscope. The staring device comprises a central point, a middle point light source arranged on the central point and at least one telescopic rod. One end of the telescopic rod is connected with the central point, the other end of the telescopic rod is provided with an outer end point light source. The handheld ophthalmoscope comprises an ophthalmoscope and further comprises a staring device. The staring device is arranged on the left or right of the ophthalmoscope. The staring device can adjust the staring angle of a patient according to actual detection condition requirements and is convenient to use.
