Microstructure and magnetic properties of nanocrystalline Fe–Zr–TM–B–Cu (TM=Nb or Mn) alloys

Abstract The microstructure and magnetic behaviour of nanocrystalline Fe 82 Zr 4 Nb 3 B 10 Cu 1 and Fe 80 Zr 4 Mn 3 B 12 Cu 1 alloys are studied. Depending on the composition, the investigated properties can be tailored by annealing conditions. In particular, the Fe 80 Zr 4 Mn 3 B 12 Cu 1 alloy with 58% of BCC–Fe exhibits excellent soft magnetic properties as well as low core losses.
