The purpose of this study was to analyze the mediating effect of grit in the relationship between parent attachment and career preparation behavior in college students. Data were collected from 234 four-year college students in Seoul. The collected data were analyzed with Hayes (2013)’s PROCESS macro (Model=4), a mediating effect verification method using bootstrapping. There were two major findings. First, the relationship between parent attachment, grit, and career preparation behavior of college students showed statistically significant correlations. Second, grit fully mediated the relationship between parent attachment and career preparation behavior of college students. This suggests that it is necessary to increase the grit level in order to enhance the career preparation behavior of college students.
